The BioComposites Group (BCG) is owned by Dan Madlung. It operates a non-woven, needle punched, fibermat line in Drayton Valley, AB. It is fully operational with a capacity of 50 tonnes per day. The line has the unique capacity of blending several different fibers to form moldable fiber composite mats. These fibers can be a combination of natural and synthetic. Mats composed of 100% hemp and other fibers combined with hemp have been successfully produced and sold to the automotive, erosion control and oil absorption industries. BCG is just one step in developing a commercial supply chain for the hemp industry.
